Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever you browse Freestone County Criminal History, read its material, or use a search feature. Continued access shows acceptance of every term below. If you disagree with any condition, do not use the site.

NO FCRA USE. Freestone County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Texas, or federal government body. This site and its advertising partners do not provide tools for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The purpose is to identify criminal-record resources in Freestone County, Texas. It is neither a consumer reporting agency nor a private investigation service.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference resource with no government affiliation. It does not keep official criminal files, retrieve records, perform government checks, or submit documents for a user.

Its role is to identify the Freestone County Sheriff's Office, the appropriate court clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and outside tools that may assist lawful personal research. Official Texas agency records remain governed by laws including the Texas Public Information Act and Government Code Chapter 411.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with access for other visitors or impair site performance
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Use site information for decisions governed by the FCRA
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person using information found here
  • Violate any applicable local, Texas, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked service may be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against a person. The warning is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Chapter 62 data supports community safety and does not authorize vigilantism or mistreatment of a registrant. Misuse may violate Texas law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners likewise do not offer site features for an FCRA-regulated decision. Information from these pages or a linked tool cannot be used to:

  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate a rental or housing application
  • Set insurance eligibility or rates
  • Determine creditworthiness
  • Make another decision regulated by the FCRA

A legally permitted check for such a purpose must come from the appropriate official channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Freestone County charge, warrant, conviction, nondisclosure rule, or expunction provision applies to specific facts. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • An outside search result will be accurate or complete
  • Every page is free from defects or security weaknesses
  • Access will remain uninterrupted
  • Every fact is complete, correct, or current

Charges, outcomes, release status, expunction orders, and nondisclosure restrictions can change a record. Delays and gaps are possible. Nothing published here is an official statement from the Freestone sheriff, a court, Texas DPS, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to county offices, court portals, Texas agencies, legal resources, or outside search providers. Those destinations operate independently. We do not control their availability, content, charges, privacy practices, or results. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Freestone County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or use of an outside service reached through a link.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any proceeding arising from use of Freestone County Criminal History must be brought in a court located in Texas.

These terms may be revised at any time. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as necessary to make it enforceable.
